The PAA’s flagship event. Bringing together the local community to learn about aviation, science and safety. The community can get first hand experience with pilots, airplanes, and helicopters.

Toys for Tots
Toys donated by the community of Palomar Airport and the surrounding area are collected each year during December. Then the toys are packed in to these General Aviation aircraft and flown out to Ramona or Fall Brook Airport by members of PAA. This event is coordinated by our local county airport staff and our local Marines for the “Toys for Tots” campaign.

The Palomar Airport Association’s Aviation Networking Happy Hour brings together some of the most accomplished, intelligent, and respected professionals in Carlsbad — pilots, aircraft owners, engineers, executives, entrepreneurs, and aviation industry leaders.

The Palomar Airport Advisory Committee is a local group that discusses airport operations, safety, development, noise concerns, and community issues related to McClellan-Palomar Airport, helping provide input and recommendations between the airport and the public.
Monthly MeetupIMC Club
A monthly pilot meetup that’s like a real-world flight simulator, using interactive IFR “what would you do?” scenarios to sharpen judgment, safety, and instrument flying skills. It’s discussion-based rather than lecture-based, welcoming everyone from students and VFR pilots to experienced IFR aviators. Held every third Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the Airport Administrative Building lower level conference room, with free Federal Aviation Administration WINGS credit available.
