Other Groups Palomar-McClellan Airport has several organizations that support aviation in North County San Diego. This page provides information about our these groups as a community service to our friends and the local area. If you are an aviation related group with activities in or around the Carlsbad area please let us know.
AOPA The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association is a national non-profit organization over 400,000 members strong. The AOPA plays an important role in keeping airports open to general aviation and ensuring the nation maintains balanced airports that serve the needs of small operators as well as large. Most PAA members are also AOPA members.
PAAC The Palomar Airport Advisory Committee (PAAC) meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Dates, times and locations change so click the Icon on the left to get the lastest information. This group is an advisory group with individuals picked by and for the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors are chosen by public election. There are 5 districts in San Diego county. Palomar Airport is located in District 5. District 5's Supervisor is the Honorable Bill Horn. The latest PAAC agenda can be found here. SDAAC The San Diego Area Aviation Council supports McClellan-Palomar Airport and it's airport Association. The SDAAC is involved with enhancing aviation and protecting airports in the San Diego Area. The SDAAC coordinates with other local, state and national associations.
OAA The Oceanside Airport Association (OAA) supports the Oceanside Airport and needs your help to save this threatened airport.

Other groups PAPA
The Palomar Airport Pilot's Association (PAPA) is a special hangar-owners association that was organized several years to work with the county on leasing issues for a group of small T-hangars.
Yak Flying Association
The Yak Flying Association is a non-profit group of private pilots that own and operate several Yak 52's. The are looking for new members to help share the cost of maintaining these two Soviet aerobatic aicraft and hand the torch to younger pilots at Palomar Airport.
