Traffic Pattern
This traffic pattern is an approximation only. Aicraft enter the pattern from any location as directed by ATC for safe and efficient flow. Highly visible landmarks such as the Encina Power Plant, the lagoons, Squires Resevior, and the La Costa canyon play an important role in pattern entry.
Palomar VNAP
Palomar Airport has a voluntary noise ababement procedure (VNAP). Procedure practice is voluntary and applies to takeoff from Rwy 24 with departures exiting the traffic pattern to the North, West and South. Individual practice of this procedure is based on weather conditions, type of flight (VRF/SVFR/IFR) pilot workload/experience/familiarity, traffic and other factors. Safety first. Watch for Traffic!
